<p>Endometriosis is an inflammatory, proliferative disease with increased PGE2 responses. The production of PGE2 from arachidonic acid (A.A.) is regulated by cycloxygenase-2 (COX-2). The present study found that the COX-2-PGE2-pAKT axis is involved in regulation of MMP-2 activity in endothelial cells which in turn promote angiogenesis in endometriosis.</p
