As the most aggressive brain tumor, chemotherapy of malignant glioma remains to be extremely challenging in clinic. The blood–brain barrier (BBB) and blood–brain tumor barrier (BBTB) are physiological and pathological barriers preventing therapeutic drugs from reaching the glioma region.
