Se presenta aquí los resultados del trabajo realizado sobre las implicaciones que el cuerpo posee en el ritual chamánico dentro de las comunidades yanomami de Mabetiteri y Mamashatioteri, ubicadas ambas en el Alto río Ocamo, estado Amazonas, Venezuela. En primer lugar planteamos la construcción social y cultural del cuerpo en movimiento; para seguidamente ubicar y delimitar el marco conceptual acerca de la concepción de la persona yanomami, la noción de hékura y de shapori.
