Cigarette smoke extract (CSE) decreases TTP in murine alveolar macrophages and epithelial cells.

<p><u><i>Panel A</i></u>: Primary alveolar macrophages (AM) were incubated with CSE (4% and 8%, volume/volume in culture medium), or CSE control cell culture medium (Control: cigarettes were not burning), for 16 hours, then detergent lysed. Equivalent amounts of whole cell lysates were Western Blotted with the indicated antibodies. Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (G3PDH) was used as a loading control for Western blot. <u><i>Panel B</i>:</u> Rat alveolar epithelia cells (L2) were treated similarly as described in Panel A. Western Blots of whole cell lysates were performed and probed with indicated antibodies. <u><i>Panel C</i>:</u> Murine alveolar macrophages (MHS) were treated similarly as described in Panel A. Western Blots of whole cell lysates were performed and probed with indicated antibodies. <u><i>Panel D</i>:</u> Primary murine alveolar epithelial cells were treated similarly as described in Panel A.
