<p><b>A.</b> Axe and EstA activity on acetylated xylan. 25–400 μg esterase range was used for the assay. <b>B:</b> Concentration dependent esterase activity using acetylated xylan as the substrate. The assay was set up at pH 7.3 and different concentrations of enzyme used. The amount of released acetate in the reaction mixture was measured by using a standard curve generated with known concentrations of acetate.</p
