Climatic variables generated over the last 35 years at the study site (Tswalu Kalahari Reserve, South Africa). These variables were generated over a 6000 ha area using data derived from the Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS) and include: surface air temperature, rainfall, average windspeed and soil moisture
