Fatty livers from f^+/+ and f^+/+;<i>Cre</i> mice on high fat diet.

<p>Top: Male mice derived from <i>Adipoq</i> crosses were fed regular rodent diet for 14 weeks at which time they were switched to the high fat diet for 8 weeks. Mice were sacrificed and pieces of liver fixed, sectioned and stained with hematoxylin and eosin for histochemical analyses. Images were captured at low (10X, bar = 200 μm) and high (20X, bar = 100 μm) magnifications. Bottom: Lipids were extracted from pieces of liver from control and knockdown mice, and triglycerides were analyzed by gas chromatographic methods. Data represent mean ± s.e.m.
