Using highly accurate conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) instruments, 922 profiles of water temperature and salinity were collected in a semi-enclosed miniature ocean, the East Sea (Japan Sea), through total 19 international joint surveys between 1993 and 2016 as part of the Circulation Research of the East Asian Marginal Seas program and with supports from the East Asian Seas Time-series I project
