<p>cDNAs from nine different tissues of eight developmental stages were used to detect the expression of eleven <i>GRAS</i> genes in which <i>ZmGRAS40</i>, <i>ZmGRAS54</i> and <i>ZmGRAS62</i> have multiple splice variants. The quantitative primers for <i>ZmGRAS40</i>, <i>ZmGRAS62</i> were used to test all of the variants, and the quantitative primers for the gene <i>ZmGRAS54</i> were used to test the main two transcripts (GRMZM2G144744-T01 and GRMZM2G144744-T02).
