Educational activity of the tereschenkos in a context of spiritual heritage of the ukrainian people

The milestone of enlightened activity of the known businessmen-landowners Tereschenkos in Ukraine in second half of the XIX — beginning XX century is illuminated. On concrete examples their contribution to the basis, habitability and guardianship of initial schools is esteemed at own sugar-refinery, many general educational, technical, commercial and artistic educational institutions of all levels in Gluhov town and, first of all, in Kyiv. The value of such Tereschenko's activity is stressed, as continuators of spiritual traditions of our people in noble business of formation and development of education and culture in Ukraine.Висвітлюються основні етапи освітньо-доброчинної діяльності відомої родини підприємців-поміщиків Терещенків в Україні у другій половині XIX — початку XX ст. На конкретних прикладах розглядається їхній внесок у заснування, життєдіяльність та опікування початкових училищ при власних цукрозаводах, багатьох загальноосвітніх, технічних і комерційних та мистецьких навчальних закладів усіх рівнів у м. Глухові і, насамперед, у м. Києві. Підкреслюється значення такої діяльності Терещенків як продовжувачів духовних традицій нашого народу у благородній справі становлення та розвитку освіти й культури в Україні
