In this paper, stabilizability conditions are derived for several unstable processes and the limitation of the conventional PID controller analysed in controlling unstable processes with one unstable pole. On the basis of the analysis, control strategy is recommended using an internal feedback loop, and additionally an optimal tuning strategy is proposed for it with the help of the derived stabilizability conditions.X1116sciescopu
