In this paper, we propose a designing methodology to find the optimal parameters of skip-lot sampling plan of type V (SkSP-V) in terms of reducing the average sample number. The two-points on the operating characteristic curve approach is used to find the design parameters of the proposed plan and the reference plan as well. The tables are presented and the results are explained using an example. The advantages of the proposed plan over the reference plan is also discussed and proved that the SkSP-V is better than the reference sampling plan in terms of probability of acceptance, average sample number and average total inspection.X117sciescopu
