In this paper, we argue that inheritance of the Tense-feature is motivated by temporalinterpretation. The Tense-feature in C must be inherited by T in order to determine thetemporal order relation between speech time and reference time. Furthermore, this paperdeals with temporal interpretation in non-finite clauses, which are argued to lack theTense-feature. We argue that the speech time of non-finite clauses is simultaneous withthe reference time and it is determined by the relation with the matrix event time orreference time
