There is a current need not only to achieve, but also to maintain the interoperability of Wireless Sensor Networks despite frequent changes in network status. The aim of this paper is to describe a context-aware model for the interoperability of Wireless Sensor Networks. We focus on the definition of four context awareness levels based on metadata elements. Additionally, three selfawareness tasks are used to illustrate how the model can be used to maintain the dynamic interoperability of Wireless Sensor Network
