National audienceThe minimization of the cost of an on-board hydrogen tank in a fuel cell vehicle requires the mass reduction of the carbon fiber composite while keeping a high safety level. To this end, the Osirhys IVANR project has developed a specific optimization methodology, based on an accurate modelling of damage mechanisms, first validated by comparison with experimental results obtained on wound samples and structures. This approach leads to forecast the mean burst pressure with an error less than 2% and to propose a design with a mass decrease of about 40% and a cost reduction ranging from 15% to 30%.La minimisation du coût d’un réservoir à hydrogène embarqu...
