Penatalaksanaan Fisioterapi Pada Kasus Bronkiektasis Di Balai Besar Kesehatan Paru Masyarakat Surakarta

To determine the physiotherapy in reducing shortness of breath, cough with phlegm, reduce spasm in upper trapezius and pectoralis major muscles, and improvement of thoracic cage using Postural Drainage modalities, Thoracic Expansion Exercise (TEE), and Sustain Maximaly Inspiration (SMI). Methods: Interventions consisted of Postural Drainage for 15 minutes, and Thoracic Expansion Exercise (TEE), and Sustain Maximaly Inspiration (SMI). Evaluations include shortness of breath, cough with phlegm, upper trapezius muscle spasms and pectoralis major, and increased thoracic cage. Result: After therapy 4 times got the result of assessment as following pain by using Borg Scale T0 =5, T1 =4, T2 =4, T3 =3, T4 =3. Conclusion: Postural Drainage for 15 minutes, and Thoracic Expansion Exercise (TEE), and Sustain Maximaly Inspiration (SMI) may increase shortness of breath, excrete sputum, improve thoracic cage, and reduce spasm in upper trapezius and pectoralis major
