Recently, the gasification process has been developed by researchers in order to the purpose of thermo-chemical process that converts solid biomass into combustible gas. This study describes the influence of variations in the design of the air distributor against burning temperature, lighting time and effective flame time on gasification furnace. This research begins by assembly of the testing installation system in the form of downdraft gasification with air distributor variations. The rice husk is selected as the feeders into the furnace which will be observed in term of their combustion characteristics.
