Galileo-European global navigation satellite system

Galileo is a new satellite navigation system being developed by the European Union. It will be a civil, internationally controlled and operated system that will secure the long-term availability of satellite-based navigation services for multi-modal purposes throughout the European region and beyond. This paper reports on the European efforts toward the development of Galileo.
