Various studies on Emotion and Design have been proposed and adopted in the recent decades. After categorising the theories by their research focuses, three main roles that influence or being affected by emotion: designers, design outcome and users/consumers in the whole design cycle of design process, consumption and reflection were identified. From their relationships of these, a number of similar terms under Emotion and Design have been developed with a clearer and concrete rationale and definition.
