Sensorless control of this proposed machine at low speed and standstill is realized based on the indirect flux estimations by online reactance measurement (INFORM) method using transient finite element (FE) analysis. An external power electronic circuit controlled by a digital signal processor is coupled with the FE machine model to compute and analyse the stator current variation and real-time inductances.
