2005 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, IGARSS 2005, Seoul, 25-29 July 2005Atmospheric effect is one of the most intractable problems in InSAR. Approaches such as stacking SAR interferograms, permanent scatter techniques and calibration with external data sources have been suggested in the past to mitigate the effects. In this paper, an elevation-dependent calibratory method is proposed to model and correct the atmospheric effects in InSAR. Test results with data from a meteorological station and 14 continuous GPS stations over Mount Etna, Sicily show that an improvement of about 27.2% is achieved after the model is applied.Department of Land Surveying and Geo-InformaticsRefereed conference pape
