2nd International Postgraduate Conference on Infrastructure and Environment, IPCIE 2010, Hong Kong, 1-2 June 2010Research work in generating a partial orbit lunar digital terrain model (DTM) from Level 2C Chang'E-1 (CE-1) images using photogrammetric methods is presented. Three tests using a subset of CE-1 backward, nadir and forward image combinations from orbit 0161 were made using LPS version 9.3.2. Following the triangulation, each pair of images was used to create a DTM with 1200 meter (10 pixels) resolution. In order to check the quality of the generated DTM, we choose the relatively better combination (backward & nadir) DTM (RMS error is 507 m) to compare with the CE-1 laser altimeter (LA) data.
