3rd Asian Meeting on Ferroelectrics, AMF-3, Hong Kong, 12-15 December 2000The complex dielectric permittivity of barium titanate/ polyvinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene [BaTiO3/P(VDF-TrFE)] 0-3 composites has been measured from -30 °C to 130 °C. The ferroelectric-to-paraelectric transition of the copolymer matrix was found to be independent of the measurement frequency f. The β relaxation shifts to higher temperature with increasing f and occurs at room temperature at f = 1 MHz. The β influence of the relaxation on the performance of 0-3 composite transducers is discussed.Department of Applied Physic
