he aim of this paper is to discuss the integration of uncertainity analysis in an thermo-economic optimization method for process system design. Most of time energy systems are designed under constant parameters, whereas some of them are uncertain in real cases. The uncertainity may affect the design decisions, the objectives, although these may be compensated by control variables in some circumstances
