Add to ORKGLipoma of the larynx is an extremely rare tumor. The case of a 68-year-old female with lipoma of the epiglottis is herein reported. The patient complained of a foreign body sensation in the hypopharynx, and was admitted to our department for the resection of the epiglottic mass. Endoscopic examination showed a large round mass with a smooth mucosal surface in the region from the epiglottis to the vallecula. The mass was removed by laryngomicrosurgery under general anesthesia. The pathological diagnosis was simple lipoma. The postoperative course was good and there has been neither functional disturbance, nor any sign of recurrence to date
