La vicepresidencia en México

The constitutions that existed during the XIX century in Mexico established the vice- presidency, but the deficient constitutional design and the constant political instability confronted the vicepresident with the president. For the XX century the constitution of 1917 did not establish a vice-presidency. In its place there existed a dominant president where the executive title holder designated all the positions, although there was the need to establish them. But today, when there is not a majority of a single political party in the Congress of the Union, to give the faculty to designate the executive title holder when be absent, as establishes in the constitutional articles 83 and 84, would bring severe consequences.Las constituciones que existieron durante el siglo XIX en México establecieron la vicepresidencia, pero el deficiente diseño constitucional confrontó al vicepresidente con el presidente, aunado a que la constante fue la inestabilidad política. Para el siglo XX, la Constitución de 1917 no estableció la vicepresidencia. En su lugar existió un presidencialismo dominante donde el titular del Ejecutivo designaba todos los cargos, a pesar de que sí hubo la necesidad de establecerla. Pero hoy en día, cuando no hay mayoría de un solo partido político en el Congreso de la Unión, darle la facultad de designar al titular del Ejecutivo cuando éste falte, como lo establecen los artículos 83 y 84 constitucionales, traería severas consecuencias
