Recently, potential applications of Desferrioxamine and other\ud iron chelators have attracted attention for the clinicai management of\ud neurodegenerative diseases. Several studies in the literature indicate that\ud metal imbalance in the brain can be involved in neurodegenerative diseases\ud such as Parkinson and Alzheimer. Many genetic disorders in humans are\ud caused by imbalance of body iron. A strategy is to link the iron chelator to\ud peptides such as TAT or penetratin gain access to iron overloaded sites in the\ud brain. In this case, the study of the structure and binding modes of iron to the\ud chelator system helps to understand their biological mode of action
