Multifuncionalidade, turismo rural e pluriatividade: interfaces de um debate inacabado

In this article the authors have assumed that the emergence of rural tourism and the interest aroused in this sphere can not be analyzed outside the context of transition operated between a dominant discursive formation through the first half of the 1980s (the discourse of agrarian modernization) and the period subsequent, marked by the emergence of what came to be called multifunctionality. If in the first case we have the idealization of monoative explotation, in the second phase the pluriactive explotation, based on the diversification of incomes (including the rural tourism activities) is seen as a model to be followed.Neste artigo os autores partem da premissa de que a emergência do turismo rural e o interesse despertado nessa esfera não podem ser analisados fora do contexto da transição operada entre uma formação discursiva dominante até a primeira metade dos anos 1980 (o discurso da modernização agrária) e o período subsequente, marcado pela emergência do que se veio a chamar de multifuncionalidade. Da exploração monoativa idealizada no primeiro caso, passa-se agora a defender a chamada exploração agrária pluriativa como sintonizada com a diversificação de ingressos e de atividades, incluindo as que são relacionadas com o turismo rural
