A pesquisa teve por objetivo avaliar a variação do teor de vitamina C em diferentes variedades de laranjas e tangerinas de significado comercial no Brasil, como também medir a capacidade antioxidante destes citros. Foram realizadas análises para avaliação do índice de maturação no suco dos citros, como pH, sólidos solúveis totais e acidez total titulável, e foram determinados os teores de vitamina C e capacidade antioxidante, sendo os dados comparados para verificar as diferenças pelo teste de Tukey (p < 0,05). As tangerinas apresentaram teores de vitamina C e capacidade antioxidante menores que as laranjas.
