Small Break Loss of Coolant Accident (SBLOCA) scenarios was considered in a number of research programs conducted with Integral test Facilities (ITF) in the world following the Three Mile Island (TMI) occurred in 1979. Long lasting transients, several hundred seconds or more, showed to be more complex for prediction than short lasting transients like Large Break LOCA (LBLOCA) of primary attention before the TMI event.
