ANALYSIS OF EDUCATION SECTOR BUDGET ALLOCATION IN THE ERA OF REGIONAL AUTONOMY BANDAR LAMPUNG IN THE PERIOD 2004-2008\ud \ud

Development of education is the key to development success. Development of education is the key to development success. In law the Republic of Indonesia number 20 of 2003 on National Education System Article 3, that education aimed at developing students' potentials to become a man of faith and devoted to the God the mighty one, noble, healthy, knowledgeable, skilled, creative, independent and become citizens of a democratic and responsible.\ud \ud Function of education in law number 20 of 2003, namely "to develop the ability and character forming and civilization that are useful in the context of the intellectual life of the nation”.\ud \ud In efforts to achieve educational goals and the application functions listed in law, required the attention and seriousness of the various parties in addition to the government as a technical implementation. Budget allocation for education sector continued effort to support equity and education development.\ud \ud Bandar Lampung city government in this case the city education office Bandar Lampung as technical implementers continue to strive to accomplish the mission in accordance with the vision contained in the law. Certainly needed the help of thought from all walks of life.\ud \ud Based on this, the writer is interested in formulating the problem is, how the budget allocation for education in an effort to improve education in the city of Bandar Lampung. Purpose of this paper is to determine the extent to which the education sector budget allocation to improve education in the city of Bandar Lampung.\ud \ud Equitable distribution of education is very important in education development efforts. With the education sector budget allocations in the town of Lampung airport failed to meet 20% the total of APBD, the effort distribution of educational experience various problems. This is due to budgetary limitations that have not been able to meet 20% of APBD which affect the development of education is relatively low when viewed from the education indicators.\ud \ud \ud Bandar Lampung city government continue to work seriously in the achievement of 20% of the education budget. This can be seen from the increasing budget each year for the education sector. Optimism of government and coordination of all walks of life are more efforts in developing education in all aspire and are listed in the Undang-Undang Dasar 1945.\u
