Brunnsvikens kemiska status : En studie över potentiellt förorenade fastigheter i Solna stad och deras påverkan på vattenförekomsten Brunnsvikens kemiska status

The water body Brunnsviken in Solna has problems with contamination of different environmental toxins, and does not reach the criteria for good chemical status settled through EU directive 2013/39/EU. The purpose of this report was to study potentially polluted properties in the drainage area of the water body in order to investigate if, and in case they occurred which, environmental toxins that possibly could reach and damage it. Information about possibly polluted properties were obtained from the county administrative board. The properties were investigated through searches for material of different types of land investigations, information stored in the municipal office of the city of Solna. Properties with no found investigations were estimated to possibly contain substances that could occur from the type of industry previously operating on the land. The study resulted in the product of a list with properties in the drainage area gradated in order with the properties with a higher risk of contaminating Brunnsviken with toxins prioritized by EU directive 2013/39/EU higher. The same information was used for another list with toxins possibly leaking to the water body from its drainage area, and therefor of interest to use as parameters for monitoring its status. The report also compare the problems with environmental toxins occurring in Brunnsviken with the state of other water bodies in the same area, leading to the conclusion that the urban exploitation possibly could be a big factor in causing the problems
