There are several meta-analytic studies of gender differences on various spatial tests. While some of them have concluded that the magnitude of the gender difference in spatial ability is decreasing over time, another study insisted that the effect sizes of gender differences are very stable. In this article, the reason of the disparity between studies were discussed in relation to the difference of the tasks and of the problem-solving processes
