In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurden Messungen der Positronenlebensdauer, der Dopplerverbreiterung der 511 keV Positron-Elektron-Zerstrahlungslinie und der zeitdifferentiellen Dilatometrie an verschiedenen quasikristallinen Systemen und Approximanten durchgeführt. Der Schwerpunkt der Untersuchungen lag dabei auf dem ikosaedrischen Quasikristall des Al-Pd-Mn-Systems. Aus Messungen der Positronenlebensdauer bei Raumtemperatur für Al-basierte Quasikristalle und Approximanten unterschiedlicher Zusammensetzungen und Vorbehandlung konnte das Vorliegen struktureller Leerstellen mit einer Konzentration von C(V) größer 10(-4) gezeigt werden. Strukturelle Leerstellen konnten auch in den nicht Al-basierten Quasikristallen der Zn-Mg-RE-Systeme nachgewiese...
