Strategi pengembangan agribisnis dalam pembangunan daerah kota bogor

The study aims at investigating the contribution of agricultural sector to the economy in Bogor Regency and formulating alternative strategies as well as setting priority for agribusiness development to support general local government development in Bogor Regency. Descriptive method is used to analyze both primary and secondary data collected through cross-sectional survey. The survey combined several method of data collection that include self-registered questionnaire by respondent, interview, discussion, and observation. The data were then analyzed by using Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share, and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The results of the study showed that sub sector of livestock and fishery have been the basis sub-sector for agricultural development in Bogor, as indicated by LQ analysis. Moreover, calculation using Shift share indicated that agricultural sector is the sector whose income growth and role in generating income for the total income of the regency shows an upward trend. Analysis of experts’ opinion using AHP method showed that vertically determining factors for agribusiness development in Bogor is government policy and its main actors have been local government and related local level institutions. The main objective of agribusiness development in Bogor Regency is to increase the income of farmers and the main strategy to achieve it is development of agribusiness information network
