En qué medida es posible la mediación penal dentro del régimen normativo ecuatoriano?

In essence, criminal and procedural codes seek to respond to the needs of a modern society in the criminal and penal area, but it should be noted the need to reorient the criminal law to the satisfaction of the victim. In this sense, this work is presented to readers an analysis of the implementation of mediation, which is a free and responsible institution, which contributes to the repair of damage caused to the victim, the decline of secondary victimization, and increases the chances of reintegration of the perpetrator. Mediation configures itself as a vehicle for community involvement in the penal justice system, and also as an instrument of social cohesion.En lo esencial, los códigos penales y procedimentales procuran responder a las necesidades de una sociedad moderna en el ámbito criminal y penal, pero, debe señalarse la necesidad de reorientar el Derecho penal a la satisfacción de la víctima. En este sentido, en el presente trabajo, se pone en consideración de los lectores un análisis sobre la implementación de la mediación penal, institución libre y responsable, que contribuye, además de la reparación a la víctima, a la disminución de la victimación secundaria, y aumentar las posibilidades de reinserción del victimario, configurándose como vehículo de participación de la comunidad en el sistema de justicia penal, como un instrumento de cohesión social
