New economy and its economic and regional aspects

The work is devoted to the phenomenon of the New Economy, from which is more closely focused on the effects of information and communication technologies. Their mass extending from the mid-90th let 20 century is transforming economy. This newly formed structure is called the "New Economy". The work primarily defines the new economy and new concepts associated with it. It then focuses on the impact of ICT on economic magnitudes and provides a theoretical model of the new economy functioning. In the section devoted to the regional aspects of the new economy there is analyzed the impact of ICT sector in the Czech Republic in their regions. This influence is quantified on the basis of n-gon ICT sector influence (NUVICT). Values of this indicator are based on empirical data. According to classification of NUVICT values were fixed categories. Into these categories belong the individual regions of the Czech Republic.
