Zeolity s obsahem mědi byly v posledních 20-ti letech důkladně studovány díky své vysoké katalytické aktivitě při reakcích rozkladu oxidů dusíku a dalších procesech souvisejících s ochranou životního prostředí. Sledovány byly interakce mnoha druhů testovacích molekul (např.
