The idea was to improve our pupils’ skills in writing. Based on the main axes of our school project about vocabulary and based on the lack of interest for writing we noticed, we decided to use a ludic writing by creating a portmanteau word dictionary. Based on cognitive and pedagogical researches about writing processes, language knowledges and pedagogical choices, we built a portmanteau dictionary creation sequence. This one relies on a ludic situation and displays a cooperative writing between pupils and a collaboration between classes. Results comparison of the same sequence leaded in two classes shows similar results when the implementation is the same and differences when it hasn’t been the same implementation.
