Autorka se v práci zabývá funkcí melatoninu v lidském organismu a metodami jeho stanovení v lidském organismu. V první části je popsána jeho syntéza, degradace, regulace tvorby, transport v lidském organismu a receptory. V druhé části jsou popsány somatické účinky. Tématem třetí části je průběh hladin v lidském organismu. V páté části jsou uvedeny metody stanovení melatoninu a jeho metabolitů. Poslední část shrnuje předpokládané využití melatoninu v klinické praxi.Dokončená práce s úspěšnou obhajobo
