In designing a control system the knowledge of the dynamics of the physical plant is quite essential. It can be acquired in a variety of ways based on the theoretical and/or experi- mental background. One of the most accurate and challenging approach is to obtain the plant dynamic characteristics from the experi- mental data using system identification methods. The success of the identification procedure is very “input dependent”. Therefore the main objective of the thesis is development of the input design algorithm which can be applied for the system identification purposes
