L'argomento principale di questa tesi ha interessato l'indagine sperimentale di letti catalitici avanzati per la decomposizione del perossido d'idrogeno e il loro utilizzo in prototipi monopropellente e bipropellente a media e bassa spinta. Due congurazioni alternative di letto catalitico sono state sviluppate seguendo didifferenti preparative e successivamente provate in reali condizioni operative all'interno di prototipi di motore monopropellente e bipropellente. Essi rappresentano il risultato finale di un'attivita di ricerca e sviluppo durata tre anni la quale è stata focalizzata sullo sviluppo di un catalizzatore efficiente, durevole e affidabile per la decomposizione del perossido.
