En resa till Abisko : En undersökning om tillgängligheten till och i Abisko

In this research the development of Abisko national park in Swedish Lapland has been studied from an accessibility perspective and how companies and organisations in the area is affecting it. The focus has been on the possibilities to travel to Abisko and also the accessibility and information in Abisko. An observation has been done where the the accessibility was looked at and interviews with operators in the area. Finally an analysis of documents which contains information about the accesability was done. From our research we can show that an improvement of the transport to Abisko from Kiruna must be done in order to continue the development of Abisko as a tourist destination. From the establishment of Abisko national park till today the development of transport have played a big part in creating a destination. Operators in the area has also played a vital part in creating a destination by offering services that makes the park available to more people. Special laws and rules regarding national parks has formed the way companies can operate in the protected area, but has not been a bigger issue.
