Linfield College student Samantha Hilton \u2715 delivers a talk summarizing her year-long experience working with the Dr. Jane Claire Dirks-Edmunds Papers and discusses the exhibit she created from materials in the collection, which is part of the Linfield College Archives. Dr. Dirks-Edmunds was an ecologist and former professor of biology at Linfield who devoted 50 years of her life to studying the Douglas fir trees along Oregon’s coastline. Dirks-Edmunds\u27s study of Saddleback (Saddle Bag) Mountain is considered the most comprehensive ecological study in the Northwest.
