We analyze $\mu^+ \mu^-$ pair production generated by high energy electrons, driven by the laser‐wakefield accelerator. We assume that the pairs are created in a solid high—Z target, following the plasma region. Numerical estimation is done for the electron beams obtained in LBL TW laser experiment [1], We found that the main contribution comes from the reactions induced by the secondary bremsstrahlung photons. According to estimation, 20 pC electron bunch with energy 1 GeV may create about 150 muon pairs.
