Copper oxide (CuO) thin films were deposited on well cleaned glass substrates by spray pyrolysis technique (SPT) from cupric acetate (Cu(CH3COO)2.H2O) precursor solutions of 0.05 – 0.15 M molar concentrations (MC) at a substrate temperature of 350 °C and at an air pressure of 1 bar. Effect of varying MC on the surface morphology, structural optical and electrical properties of CuO thin films were investigated. XRD patterns of the prepared films revealed the formation of CuO thin films having monoclinic structure with the main CuO (111) orientation and crystalline size ranging from 8.02 to 9.05 nm was observed.
