This new book examines whether homeland security is striking an appropriate balance, with a special focus on the UK.In the wake of the July 7th 2005 attacks in London, this is a much-needed assessment of how key public and private sector bodies in the UK can prevent, pre-empt, counter and manage any future terrorist assault. Leading scholars in the field examine the quality of these responses against a matrix of other factors (types of terrorist networks, tactics and targets of groups, etc), comparing and contrasting the UK's response with cognate states elsewhere, such as the USA and the EU.
