In this thesis work, we studied the Angle-of-Arrival and Angle-of-Departure methods as radio direction-finding and indoor positioning techniques using multi-antenna arrays for signal transmission and reception. The methods were studied theoretically from a mathematical standpoint and using 3D MATLAB and Python simulations and experimentally through measurements with multiple-antenna arrays. The simulations for this thesis were created for studying the effect of various antenna configurations and the use of different direction-finding algorithms on the performance of the direction estimates.
