Usage of microcontrollers and embedded software is a continually rising trend. The use of established processor technologies in the power electronics industry combined with the customer- and vendor-based analysis demands create a need for running more embedded software on products. At the same time, the code complexity warrants better testing and verification of software. This thesis researches a solution to enable embedded software testing in a power electronics context. Regular microcontroller-based solutions are emphasized.
