Gadis Berkulit Hitam (Black-skinned girl) is a short story written by author francophone originating from Senegal, a former French colony. Postcolonial discourse is evident in the image of the subaltern and the other is very dominant on the short story of GBH. This short story has two very different place settings, namely Senegal and France, which is identical to Senegal the eastern while France is western. East and west relations are synonymous with the colonized and the colonizers.
